HOW TO APPLY ACCORDING TO PRO MAKEUP ARTISTS FLAWLESSLY

If you've ever watched the magic of a makeup artist, you know they've got an infinite number of small tricks up their sleeves. Such methods may seem to come to the pros as a second nature, but it's a completely distinct tale for us regular guys — especially when it comes to eyeliner. To assist us reach a perfect eyeliner application, as if it were done by a makeup artist, We've learned a few trade tricks and share the wealth of information with you ahead of time.

Tip Eyeliner # 1: Get the Lash Line Super Close

This is one of the greatest problems for the eyeliner. If you're not getting near enough to the lash line, you're losing the intensity with eyeliner you've been attempting to produce. “Always make sure to get close to the lash line, leaving no gaps,” says professional makeup artist Colleen Runne. To make the job a little easier, consider using a wider, flat brush to get the eyeliner right where you want it.

Eyeliner Tip # 2: Smoothly Glide It

Lancôme domestic makeup artist Ricardo Costales says to apply a thin layer of eyeshadow first to get a smooth, smooth liner look. This helps the eyeliner glide onto your lid to create a soft line. "The eyeliner will also last longer without providing you a severe look."

Tip Eyeliner # 3: Do not use it on a line

It's difficult to create the ideal line in one sweep — Runne understands a better manner: "Many females believe they need to create one line with the eyeliner. Rather, you can do a sequence of tiny strokes across the lash line, sort of like a kind of connect-the-dots thing. "You're going to create fewer errors and end up with a more even implementation.

Tip # 4 of Eyeliner: Mix without starting over

With one simple addition, you can switch things up and look from day to night. "Use a daring or brighter shadow on top of your brown or black liner to adjust your eyeliner look without redoing your makeup," suggests Costales. "Mixing it together will help you create a more edgy, dramatic appearance."
